It is hard to believe we have finished celebrating our 40th summer and are already looking forward to our 41st! So much goes into running a successful season. From gathering camp supplies to conducting safety meetings to processing registrations; but above all, it comes down to our people, and specifically our teachers.
Every year, Bright Lights hires top-tier individuals to teach our camps. Our team typically includes current and former educators, pre-service teachers and passionate community members excited to share their expertise. We are endlessly grateful for every one of them.
We are always looking for new talent and fresh ideas to join our unique summer program. As a Bright Lights teacher, you have the freedom to design and lead a camp on a subject you love. You can bring a brand-new concept to life or adopt and customize an existing curriculum. With over four decades of experience to share, we are always here to help spark your creative ideas.
Our teaching positions offer flexible scheduling to fit your availability: You select the grade level, the week you teach and whether you prefer a morning session (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM), an afternoon session (1:00 PM – 4:00 PM), or a full-day option. You can even co-teach with a friend to take on the adventure together!
Bright Lights is dedicated to supporting every educator, especially those new to our program. We will help you get summer-ready during our required April orientation meeting (which includes a stipend for your time), and you will work directly with me– the Director of Education here at Bright Lights– to bring your camp to life. We offer competitive pay, cover all materials and supplies, and provide bonuses after your first year.
Applications for Summer 2027 teaching positions are now open! If you are interested in joining our team, visit our teacher web page to learn more and complete the application.
We hope you will join us for a summer filled with discovery, inspiration and unforgettable learning experiences. As a Bright Lights teacher you do more than just lead a camp: You create memories and support each student as they become a shining star.
