Scholarships for 2025 Camps

by Kristi Whitmer

Thanks to generous donations from community organizations and individuals, we will again have need-based scholarships available for students to attend Bright Lights camps this summer.

So how does the program work?

Starting when our camp registration opens on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 8:00 AM, go to BrightLights.org and click on the “Register” button. Then select the camp/camps your student(s) would like to take.

During the registration process, on the Student Information Form, you will be asked if you want to apply for a scholarship. Answer “yes” and you may submit one scholarship application per student. Note that the camp you are registering for must have open spots – scholarships cannot be applied to waitlisted camps. So be sure to have a second choice camp in mind, should you need it.

Each student is eligible for one scholarship that can be used toward either one half-day or one full-day Summer 2025 camp. Scholarships are available on a first-come, first-served basis for as long as funds are available.

A $10 deposit (plus any fees associated with the camp) will be collected upon checkout. Be sure to enter the discount code you are given for each student during checkout. Your student’s spot in the camp is reserved while their scholarship application is reviewed.

Scholarship applications are accepted until May 1, 2025. Applicants will be notified of their awarded scholarship amount within 10 days of submitting their registration. If you are not awarded a scholarship, you may choose to cancel your registration and the deposit will be refunded. Any remaining balance will be due on Thursday, May 8, 2025.

Further details about our scholarship program can be found on our website.

More information about our summer camps can be found at BrightLights.org. The schedule of camps will be posted soon (early February), so be sure to check back and make a list with your kids of which camps they are interested in!
