Take your storytelling to the next level in this experimental, high-design scrapbooking camp! Perfect for middle schoolers looking to develop their own aesthetic, this camp moves beyond the basics into the world of mixed media and junk journaling. Campers will learn how to transform papers, rub-ons and ephemera into a one-of-a-kind art journal. We’ll explore “paper engineering” by creating interactive ephemera—think hidden pockets, tuck-spots and waterfall elements. To add a sophisticated touch, students will master the art of wax sealing, using melted wax and botanical or twine accents to personalize their pages. This hands-on week focuses on texture, layering and creative self-expression.
Please bring 10–15 printed photos and any “paper treasures” you’ve saved (like movie tickets, postcards or favorite stickers). All other specialty mixed-media supplies are provided.
