Grades Completed: 3, 4, 5
Camp #300: June 8-12, Full-Day Camp (9 AM-4 PM)
Location: Roper Elementary School
Get ready to talk trash—literally! We’ll uncover what happens to the bottles, boxes, paper and other materials we toss away, and discover what really belongs in the recycling bin. Through hands-on activities and fun games, you’ll explore how different materials are made, why some last longer than others and how they can be repaired, reused or redesigned instead of thrown away. With help from a recycling expert, you’ll learn how everyday choices about materials can help protect our planet. By week’s end, you’ll have created a public service announcement that shares your new recycling and reuse smarts with the world!
