It’s a Celebration!

Taking learning beyond the classroom since 1987

Sometimes a new nonprofit is just livin’ on a prayer. But our founders were never gonna give up and they made Bright Lights a reality when they first ran camps in 1987. Generations of students have had sweet dreams come to life in the great mix of camp topics Bright Lights has brought to life.

We’ve never walked alone during this journey. Thanks to our great team of staff, teachers and volunteers over the years, we’ve pumped out many big hits. And our donors and supporters have put us at the top of the charts year after year.

We’ve had the time of our lives, but we’re not done yet! We plan to keep rockin’ steady for another 40 years.

Jam out with us as we celebrate 40 summers of hands-on, fun + learning summer camps.

"This was one of my best Bright Lights experiences so far. The kids were a very engaging class that challenged themselves musically while at the same time connecting with the students from Japan. They were great hosts and enjoyed making music together."
-- Bright Lights Teacher
“Thank you for providing opportunities to youth that would not otherwise have them. You make a difference, whether you see it directly or not-- the effects are generational. When children and families are engaged, involved, supported and encouraged, our entire community wins.”
-- Bright Lights Parent
"I can’t tell you just how impactful Bright Lights camp was for my kid. He had a fantastic time, and there was some magic about the camp that changed his demeanor-- He went from sullen and withdrawn, to engaged and excited. I think he 'found his thing' by attending camp. I never imagined it’d be this great. Thank you."
