Bright Lights is excited to announce the return of Star Search, a scavenger hunt and fundraiser that is fun for the whole family! Grab your team, get ready for fun and great prizes, and join us on Friday, April 19, 2024!
How does it work? After registering, teams will meet on April 19 at 5 PM at Firespring to check in and receive game instructions. A team consists of a group of people who can safely fit inside ONE vehicle. Each team needs to have ONE smartphone on which you can download and use our game app. Then, at 5:30 PM, we will count down and teams will set off all over Lincoln to complete missions and earn points. Planning out a route is encouraged because, after 2 hours, the game will end and all teams will return to Firespring for prizes and snacks.
Wondering what the “missions” are like? They direct you to locations around Lincoln where teams will be asked to do an activity (or “mission”) and then snap a photo or video of it within the game app to earn points. The missions will require you to be quick, be silly and use your creativity– so be ready for anything! This video shows examples from past events.
Your registration fee for the event is a direct donation to Bright Lights, with 100% of it supporting our programming. There will be no refunds due to inclement weather or situations outside of Bright Lights’ control.
