Hello I’m Heather Howard, a lifelong learner, former educator, mom and military wife. I have lived in Lincoln since graduating from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2003. I adore Lincoln’s small-town vibes with endless opportunities and have served on the Bright Lights Board for almost four years.
As the new Bright Lights board president, I am beyond excited to continue as an active part of the organization. I am a firm believer in hands-on learning and expanding young minds. I know without a doubt Bright Lights provides amazing summer camps that truly enrich the Youth of Lincoln.
As a photographer, I can credit many people throughout my life encouraging me to dive deeper into what I am passionate about. Art has always been something that has set my heart on fire, and I absolutely love it. I can see that same type of passion sparking a fire in students in all Bright Light programming and feel honored to be a part of it.
