Twinkles Camps

June 8-12, 2026

9 AM – 12 PM or 1 PM – 4 PM At Prescott Elementary

Oh my stars… we now have a camp just for Pre-K students!

Our new week-long Twinkles camp is designed exclusively for students who will be entering Kindergarten in the fall of 2026.

From literature to science to art, students in this camp will experience what Bright Lights is all about through age-appropriate, hands-on learning opportunities. Then, with their love of learning stoked, they will be ready and excited to attend a Bright Lights camp of their choice the following summer (2027) as a Kindergartener.

Twinkles camp will take place June 8-12, 2026, at Prescott Elementary (1930 S. 20th St). A student can register for either the morning session (9 AM-12 PM) or the afternoon session (1 PM-4 PM). Students in each session will then be divided into two groups, each with its own teacher. The morning and afternoon sessions will have the same curriculum, so please register a student for only one session of Twinkles.

The cost for one half-day camp is $145 and includes a free Twinkles t-shirt for the student. Scholarships are available and can be applied for during registration. Registration will open at the same time as it does for the rest of our camps: Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026 at 8 AM at BrightLights.org.

Twinkles is currently a pilot program for Summer 2026 only.

Requirements

  • Students must be age 5 by July 31, 2026.
  • Students must be enrolled to start Kindergarten in the fall of 2026.
  • Students must be independent at toileting.

Please note that there will be no on-site nurse support during this camp.

If you have additional questions about this camp, please email info@BrightLights.org.

What people are saying about International Week camps

"Meeting the Japanese students this year opened up a new door for our son. He thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them and learn about their lives in Japan. Being able to devote extended time to the projects they worked on in class allowed him to have a sense of accomplishment and growth in the skills taught in class. He would love to come back again next year."
-- Bright Lights Parent
"Absolutely loved the experience with the American and Japanese students. There is no greater experience than watching the youth of two different cultures come together, share and communicate with other. The relationships formed are life altering and engaging."
-- Bright Lights Parent
"This was one of my best Bright Lights experiences so far. The kids were a very engaging class that challenged themselves musically while at the same time connecting with the students from Japan. They were great hosts and enjoyed making music together."
