It’s almost summer! Well, okay, it’s still four months away, but here at Bright Lights we’re blowing up our beach balls and getting out the sunscreen because it’s time to talk about our 2025 camp schedule! We have 40 NEW camps to offer, and we hope you’re as excited about the topics as we are! Here are just a few of our favorites:
- Dragon Warrior Adventure is an introduction to martial arts for students in grades K-3. Designed for all skill levels, no experience is needed—just a good attitude and the desire to learn basic self-defense techniques, develop coordination and teamwork, and discover the thrill of mastering new moves. This camp is taught by experts at Swanson’s Martial Arts.
- Shimmer Time: Gem Art gives students in grades 1-3 the chance to unleash their sparkling personalities by creating gem art projects like keychains, stickers and posters using patterns and gems. Artistic inspiration will definitely be shining each day in this camp!
- The Power of Story will encourage writers in grades 3-5 to not only create their own stories but learn about the cultures of various storytellers. Captivating stories (both oral and written) will be developed and shared using a variety of media.
- Ready, Set, Nihon-Go is a journey into the Japanese language and culture, taught by a certified Japanese language teacher. Students in grades 4-6 will learn basic Japanese phrases, plus explore traditional games, crafts and elements of pop culture.
- History of Video Games will give students in grades 6-8 a chance to take a deep dive into how video games have changed over time by examining and playing older and newer consoles. Students will learn different gaming genres, how to capture gameplay, and then put all that knowledge together into a video project.
