Did you hear? Our Summer 2026 camp schedule is available, along with descriptions for more than 120 camps! And of those hands-on, minds-on camps, 34 are new!
If you are looking for a full-day experience for your student, Bright Lights offers nine camps this summer that run from 9 AM – 4 PM. Some are old favorites, like Hogwarts (#602, June 22-26) and Engineering (#800, July 6-10), but there are some great new full-day camps as well:
- MedQuest (Grades 6-8): Open the door to the world of healthcare with a full day of interactive activities and career exploration, meeting experts from leading local institutions to see how these professions come to life. Learn essential skills, practice simulations and connect with experts to discover pathways that can turn curiosity into a future in medicine. Drop off and pick up will vary based on the day’s activities, taking place at Bryan College of Health Sciences, Southeast Community College and Union Adventist University.
- Trash Talkers (Grades 3-5): Get ready to talk trash—literally! We’ll uncover what happens to the bottles, boxes, paper and other materials we toss away, and discover what really belongs in the recycling bin. Through hands-on activities and fun games, you’ll explore how different materials are made, why some last longer than others and how they can be repaired, reused or redesigned instead of thrown away. With help from a recycling expert, you’ll learn how everyday choices about materials can help protect our planet. By week’s end, you’ll have created a public service announcement that shares your new recycling and reuse smarts with the world!
- Fashion 201 (Grades 6-8): This camp is for students with existing sewing skills or those who have completed Fashion 101 and are ready to level up. Campers will design, cut, and sew their own garment from scratch while learning how to choose fabrics and refine construction skills. By the end of the week, each participant will leave with a finished, wearable piece.
Students don’t have to take one of our full-day camps to enjoy a full day of fun at Bright Lights. When paired with lunch care (an optional choice during registration, available for camps held at Roper Elementary), your student can attend a morning (9 AM – 12 PM) and afternoon (1 PM – 4 PM) camp, providing twice the learning and fun. Here are a few camps that pair well together:
For grades K-2
- #106 Little Picassos and #206 LEGO® WeDo Junior Robotics: These two camps are full STEAM ahead, focusing on art in the morning and engineering in the afternoon.
- #608 Fluffy Friends and #702 Adorable Animal Art: The cuteness overload is real! Students will have the best time sharing their favorite stuffed friend, and then in the afternoon learning to draw a multitude of cute animals.
For grades 3-5
- #124 Edible Science and #220 Become a Boss Kid: With these two camps, students will learn some fun food experiments and can apply that knowledge to create their own innovative product to promote.
- #824 It’s All Greek to Me and #910 Cosmic Explorers: History is out of this world when you pair these camps. Students will explore the gods and goddesses of Greek myths and legends, then focus on rockets, the Milky Way and the science behind zero gravity. Together, these camps prove that exploration – of the universe or of legendary worlds – always starts with curiosity.
Which camp (or camps) will your students choose? Make a list and check it twice, because registration opens online February 28 at 8 AM at BrightLights.org!
